Pendulum medieval torture
Pendulum medieval torture was specially designed for successful interrogations and receiving forced confessions. This simple device is made from a wooden frame, a reel and a piece of rope. One end of a rope was used for tying human wrists together behind his back while the other was wrapped around the spool. Medieval torture started as the torturer rotated the reel and the tighten rope slowly elevated eventually dislocating slaves shoulders.
Pendulum medieval torture was not the lethal device. Only a few victims were tortured to death, but it was a very successful interrogation tool. The fear of physical pain was forcing slaves to confess.
If the tortured slave was hard enough there was a way to increase his pain level to maximum. Torturer was using pendulum device to lift his body up in the air and dislocate one (or both) of his shoulders. The caused permanent damage was almost impossible to heal these days. If the interrogated person still unwell to confess, torturers have to use more pain- and powerful medieval torture tools to get the confession needed.
